|
|
I just install fresh copy of windows OS (XP with and patches and updates) and trying to install printer HP laser 1012 driver (USB cable), As it is installing, I receive an error box that simply
says "rolling back action", and then it does roll back without completing the installation.
I tried to use the CD as well as I downloaded the driver
It was working before I did the fresh installation, nothing wrong with USB port.

Hi zillah,
Uninstall the HP software suite if it is installed (this option should be available if you insert the CD and try to install). Then check the printer driver has been removed by checking Device Manager.
Turn your system off, unplug the printer, boot up into Safe Mode and reinstall the drivers / software - you will be instructed when to attach the printer during installation.
HP printers are notoriously fussy about when they are connected and turned on during the installation process. _________________ Never stop learning
